The Enrichment Program at Safari
At Safari International School, enrichment isn’t an add-on — it’s built into our calendar, woven through every day, and designed to reinforce what our students are learning in the classroom.
The Safari Day
A structured, energetic, and engaging journey from morning to afternoon.
7:30am: A Focused Start
Our youngest learners begin with handwriting practice, while our primary students sharpen their minds with daily mental maths — an energetic start that sets the tone for the day ahead.
Mornings: The Core
Until lunchtime, students are immersed in their core subjects — English, Mathematics and Science — taught with the depth and rigour our families know us for.
Recess: Made for Every Age
Play is never an afterthought at Safari. Whether inside or out, our students move, explore and discover through play every single day.
- Primary Students: Dedicated to team sport, with a different game each day — basketball, volleyball, netball, handball and soccer.
- Preschoolers: Indoor climbing playground (trampolines, ball pits, soft blocks) or outdoor playground (sensory activities, bicycles, swings).
Afternoons: Built-in Enrichment
After lunch, our students move into a rich variety of enrichment programmes built into their weekly timetable. These run right up to 3:00pm — turning every afternoon into an opportunity to explore, create and discover.

Extended Enrichment:

Learning Beyond the Classroom
Enrichment at Safari reaches well beyond our walls.
Field trips, all year round
Our students regularly venture out to factories, museums, beaches, art centres, packaging plants, farms and more — connecting classroom learning to the real world.
Guest speakers
Throughout the year, visiting speakers help our students reinforce and bring to life their Units of Inquiry, adding real voices and real expertise to their learning.
Community action
We believe learning should inspire action. Our students take part in annual community events — including a bake sale raising funds to support a local orphanage, alongside beach clean-ups and recycling initiatives that give back to our local communities.
Enrichment with Intent
This is what makes the Safari enrichment programme different. It is consistent, intentional, and built into our calendar — never random, never filler. Every part of it, from the morning bell to the final after-school session, connects back to our students’ learning, reinforces it, and gives our children the chance to apply what they know and take meaningful action. It’s education that doesn’t stop at the classroom door.
